Cordell Clark, Senior Pastor/Teacher & Wife Debbie

 

Pastor Cordell Clark, Sr. has a tremendous passion for God’s word and God’s people. He received his calling to the ministry in 1987 under the leadership of Pastor Earl Pleasant at the Greater New Bethel Baptist Church of Inglewood, CA. Before being called into the ministry, he served as a Deacon, Psalmist and Sunday School Teacher at GNB. After being called into the ministry, Cordell preached many local revivals as well as out of state revivals.

Because of his love for Christ and his passion for the lost, the Revelation of Christ Church was organized in 1993 under the leadership of the Holy Spirit with Cordell Clark as our Pastor. This name was chosen directly from the word of GOD in Revelation 1:1. He is dedicated and committed to building this church, GOD’s church upon the word and Revelation of JESUS CHRIST. He is a loving Pastor of GOD's people and a strong and passionate Teacher of GOD’s word. He believes in cutting it straight and making the Word come alive where everyone can understand it. Pastor Clark is a verse by verse expositional preacher/teacher. He encourages his audience to take notes and be like the Bereans: receive the word with great eagerness, examining the scriptures daily to see whether these things were so (Acts 17:11).

 

Like Ezra in Ezra 7:10, Cordell has set his heart to study the law of the LORD and to practice it, and to teach HIS statutes. He is a graduate of the Los Angeles Bible Training School where the truth of God’s is the order of day. Also, Cordell is the son of a pastor, better known as a PK (Preacher’s Kid). He is the second oldest of six children born to the late Pastor S.L. & Sis. Christine Clark. He was raised in the church and had a healthy love and fear of GOD at an early age. Following in his parents’ footsteps, he also has raised his children up in the church, teaching them to fear and love the LORD. Cordell is the husband of one wife, Debbie Clark for over forty years, the father of five adult children and grandfather of 16. He is also a retiree from his secular job of 36 years.

 

Through it all, Cordell is faithful to his calling and commitment to the LORD’s work. “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of GOD stands forever" (Isaiah 40:8).
